Current Classes

4 Basic English Language Classes

True Beginner, High Beginner, Intermediate, & Advanced level mixed skills classes. Our basic English classes are a fun and engaging way for students to learn English vocabulary and grammar in context while gaining skills and strategies in reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

Civics Class

Students learn about United States history and government while also improving their English language skills. Students will also be prepared to pass the citizenship test for naturalization and/or passing the Arizona required civics portion of the GED test.

College & Career Success Class

This class helps students gain knowledge, skills and strategies for success in their future college and/or career goals. This is an interactive workshop type of class with guest speakers that include representatives from CCC’s Career Services and Admissions Departments, as well as GCU’s Foreign Credential Evaluation Liaison.

Student Leadership Group

Students learn about advocacy and representational leadership while also improving their communication and employability skills by completing projects such as speaking with a decision maker, writing for a newsletter, or creating a blog.

Most Classes are currently in-person. If you cannot attend in-person, we do offer the ability to Zoom in to the in-person classes. Talk to your instructor about this option.
